The World is Looking at Ireland Says Human Rights Activist
Life Society, the student pro-life group in NUI, Galway, recently hosted Lila Rose, a US pro-life student activist. Ms. Rose addressed students at NUI, Galway on 18th November and told the audience that many countries around the world are looking at Ireland with envy for its pro-life record.
Ms. Rose, founder of Liveaction.org described some of the investigative work she has participated in including exposing illegal activities in abortion clinics operated by Planned Parenthood in America (an organisation which receives over $200 million annually from the US Government). These irregularities were highlighted by Ms. Rose and her colleagues through undercover attendances at the clinics posing as a pregnant woman and her boyfriend and the results of the investigations were alarming. Ms Rose also discussed a recent project which her organisation was involved in called the Racism Project which exposed some of the racist undertones in America’s abortion industry. This project involved an actor calling abortion clinics posing as a donor. The actor said he “only wanted his donation used for abortions of black babies”. Despite his racist request, no clinic declined the donation or expressed any outrage or concern at his racist attitude.
Ms. Rose said abortion is the greatest human rights violation of our times and she encouraged Ireland to uphold its pro-life ethos. Congratulations to the Life Society of NUI, Galway for hosting this successful event.
